An Instalment Sale is a credit agreement where you make payments over an agreed term for the goods that you bought

All items except perishable items but to a minimum value of R600.

Pre-Approval happens in a couple of minutes.
Final approval depends on how fast the supporting documentation is submitted.

Pre-Approval will be communicated via SMS to your supplied cellphone number.

TC Finance will collect the instalment on the agreed due date via a DebiCheck debit order from your bank account

DebiCheck is the name of a specific type of debit order which you confirm electronically at the start of your debit order contract in order to confirm all the necessary details before the bank processes it.

The DebiCheck instruction will be processed as part of the approval process.
If the agreed instalment sale is processed within 15 days of the agreed instalment day, your debit order will be processed in the following month.
If the instalment sale is approved more than 15 days of the agree instalment day, your debit order will be process in the same month

Yes, we will send you a reminder SMS 5 days before the instalment is due to remind you to have funds available in your account

You need to call us to arrange to pay the missed instalment

You can pay with cash, debit / credit card, EFT, Pay@ or EasyPay

Yes, you can request a settlement quote to pay the outstanding amount

No, we will collect the instalment due on the agreed date

We will send you a monthly statement of your account

Instalment Credit Application


  • You need to be a South African citizen
  • You need to be between the ages of 18 and 80
  • You need to be earning at least R 1 250 per month
  • You need to show consistant income for 3 months or more
  • Your income must be paid into your bank account
  • We can’t assist anyone under debt review or administration
  • You need a valid South African Identity Document (ID)
  • You need proof of income for the latest 3 months
  • You need 3 months latest bank statements
  • You need proof of residence, not older than 3 months
  • You need an active cellphone number

We can use electronic proof of income or bank statements

Yes, as long as the bank statement reflects the client’s initials, surname and full current address.

Fees that we charge

We charge fees and interest according to the National Credit Act and is regulated by the National Credit Regulator (NCR)

Initiation Fees

An initiation fee is charged for the creation of each credit agreement and is calculated as R165 (excl VAT) plus 10% of the credit amount above R1 000 up to a maximum of R1 050 or 15% of the credit amount.

Monthly Service Fees

The monthly service fee is charged at R60 (excl VAT) per month or on a pro-rata basis for an incomplete month.

Interest

TC Finance will not charge any interest for our 3-month instalment product and 3% per month for the 6-month instalment product. Note that this is well below the maximum interest charge permissible by the NCA of 60% per year or 5% per month.
